Golf Courses

Izaty's Championship Golf Course
Located 7 miles west of Isle. The only course in Minnesota designed by the Dye golf course architects, and host of the 1992, 1993 and 1994 Minnesota PGA Championships, the 18-hole course offers a 72 par, 6,481 yards long with 13 doglegs and natural water hazards on 10 holes. With acres of wildflowers sprinkled throughout, the course offers beauty beyond belief. Other amenities include a driving range, practice greens, an on-site PGA pro available for instructions, memberships, and club and cart rentals

Fiddlestix Golf Course
Located 3 miles south of Isle on Hwy. 47. This neatly manicured 6,200 yard, par 72, layout is designed to challenge both the novice and proficient player, making it a golfing experience everyone can enjoy and afford. Fiddlestix boasts a driving range, practice green, cart, club rentals and a club house with drinks and a restaurant.

Hunting

Mille Lacs Wildlife Management
Located east off Highway 169 on County Road 20, south of Onami. The 39,156 acre Mille Lacs Wildlife Management Area is home to 50 mammal and 200 bird species. Public hunting has been the dominant outdoor recreational use of the Mille Lacs WMA. Other activities permitted in the area include trapping, bicycling, hiking, bird watching and cross country skiing.

Mille Lacs Hunting Lodge
The Mille Lacs Hunting Lodge offers hundreds of acres of ideal hunting upland habitat. Fields are planted and groomed to provide ideal hunting cover. During the Fall we stock hard flying pheasants and chukar partridge for some of the best hunting in the Midwest.

State Parks

Father Hennepin State Park
Located just west of Isle on Hwy. 27, the 316 acre park offers picnicking, swimming, hiking and birding. There is a boat launch, fishing pier, snowmobile trails, and special nature programs that are given periodically throughout the year.

Mille Lacs Kathio State Park
Located just west of Onamia on Hwy. 27, Mille Lacs Kathio State Park the fourth largest Minnesota State Park offers picnicking, canoeing, ski and snowshoe rentals, an interpretive center, a 100-foot observation tower, horse trails groomed ski trails, snowmobile trails, and naturalist programs for families.
