Valet Boat Launching at Appeldoorn's Sunset Bay

We have a wonderful beach here at Appeldoorn's Sunset Bay. Some would argue that it is the best on the lake. The completely sugar sand beach stretches out into the lake an easy 200 feet. On top of that, the water is extremely shallow, reaching up only to grown man's waist at its deepest spot. This is perfect for kids and families alike to play and have fun in the water.

With that in mind, it is important to realize that we don't have a standard boat ramp here as a normal car or truck would get swamped before they were able to get a boat off a trailer.

That's right, via tractor, enjoy the convenience of a work free boat launch as our friendly staff launches your boat for you while you comfortably sit inside it.

All you have to do is drive your truck and trailer to a designated spot, drop the trailer and park your vehicle in a nearby spot and let us do the rest. Come back, load your family and friends along with all your gear and relax. We'll drive you out to a deep enough spot, and then you can drive your boat out to the lake for a good time on the water. When you are ready to come back, give us a call from the lake or dock your boat and find a staff member in the office and we'll get your trailer and back it out so you can just drive back on it.

However, if this isn't for you, there are public boat launches within a close distance where you can launch yourself. All registered guests at the resort have free dockage and launch rights.
